Actress Amyra Dastur is one of the few faces from Bollywood to voice their opinion on different social issues.

She recently sat down with Faridoon Shahryar of Bollywood Hungama for an interview where she talked about the ongoing cutting down of the Arrey forest in Mumbai.

The actress said that her strangeness about the situation is that why the trees were cut at night secretly.

She then said that the recent massive fire in the Amazon forest, the ground water depletion of Chennai are indication that were are going through a major climactic crisis.

“I don’t think we can afford to cut trees, I genuinely don;t, not just in India but I am talking about all over the world.”

Amyra also said that “some people have a very funny view of Bollywood” as they not expected to voice their opinion.

On the work front, Amyra was recently seen in the music video ‘Tere Bina’, with Zaeden. It has achieved 10 million views on YouTube.

She also acted in the political thriller ‘Prassthanam’ with Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff and Chunky Pandey.

Amyra also had a supporting role in the black comedy ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’, co-starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao.

She will be next seen in Mikhil Musale’s comedy film ‘Made In China’, which is slated to release on 25 October, 2019.
