Dumbo

Behind-the-scenes featurette released by Disney, of their upcoming live-action film ‘Dumbo’ is indeed a visual treat. The film brings to life the 1941 animated film of the same name and the CGI quality used in the film is top-notch as all the animals created through CGI look genuine. The film is being directed by Tim Burton, who also directed 2010’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

The film is about a baby elephant, who due to his exceptionally large ears is bullied by other elephants in the struggling circus. But as the circus owners find out that it can fly using his ears, they plan to make a majestic comeback on the stage.

The film features Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, and Alan Arkin.

The official synopsis reads, “Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.”

‘Dumbo’ is all set to hit theatres on March 29.
