‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’, ‘The Fakir Of Venice’ : Two Hindi movies releasing this Friday (February 1)

Unlike the January, which had four to five releases every Friday, February seems to have a mild start with just two movies releasing on the first Friday of the month. ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga‘ a rom-com drama starring Sonam Kapoor with father Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, and another comedy-drama ‘The Fakir Of Venice‘ by Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor, are releasing on February 1, 2019.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’

It is “the most Unexpected Romance of the year!” starring Anil KapoorSonam KapoorRajkummar Rao, and Juhi Chawla is here and the romantic drama is really captivating. The film is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vinod Chopra Films in association with Fox Star Studios.

It is a simple love story about a girl named Sweety who has to contend with her over-enthusiastic family that wants to get her married, a young writer who is completely smitten by her, a secret that she harbors close to her heart and ultimately the truth that her true love might not find acceptance in her family and society. Resolving these issues proves hilarious, touching & life changing.

It is the first time when the father-daughter duo will share the screen space. The movie looks promising as it brings back the old world charm of romance but also stays relevant to contemporary times.

The Fakir Of Venice

Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor starrer ‘The Fakir of Venice’ will finally release on February 1, 2019- a decade after it was made. The film is directed by Anand Surapur. The film was delayed due to productional issues. The music of the film is composed by A.R. Rahman.

The film’s story is based on human behavior. A story of the past, the present, and the future. The film revolves around the two faces of every human which primarily comes out due to situations, needs, goals, and wants.

Farhan and Annu are two con Indian men who travel to Venice for conning the western art world for making quick bucks. ‘The Fakir of Venice’ the movie is inspired by a bizarre incident of Filmmaker Homi Adajania’s life. This was Farhan Akhtar’s first acting role.
