After the news of ‘ek do teen’ being revamped for Baaghi 2, another popular number from the Bollywood past is going to be recreated. In the upcoming movie Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga, its eponymous song will be featured in a new rendition.
The song that originally featured in 1942: A Love Story was composed by the famous R.D. Burman and continues to be a treat to the ears for every music lover. The movie that will feature the song is helmed by Shelly Chopra Dhar who is the sister of Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the director of 1942: A Love Story.
While Anil Kapoor was seen romancing with Manisha Koirala in the original song, he is teamed with his daughter in the upcoming movie. Who will feature in the song remains a mystery yet. In a media interaction, Shelly confirmed “Yes, we are recreating the original and we want to replicate its iconic status. It’s hard to beat the original so I will be happy if we are at par with it. However, we’ll have to wait and see who sings the new version and for whom in the film.”
Sonam shared a picture from the sets of the film this morning that features the gleaming faces of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor along with co-stars Raj Kummar Rao and Juhi Chawla. She wrote, “Even work feels like home with Dad & this amazing team! Here’s a glimpse from the sets of #ShellyChopraDhar’s directorial debut – #EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga! @anilskapoor @[email protected]_rao #VidhuVinodChopra#RajKumarHiraniFilms @foxstarhindi”.
We are leaving you with the reminiscing melody of the original song to enjoy, until the new version releases.
