Anil KapoorSonam KapoorRajkummar Rao, and Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ released this Friday. The film which explores “The most Unexpected Romance of the year!” received mixed reviews from the audience on its opening day. Reviewers called it a captivating romantic drama.

The homosexual love story managed to exceed trade pundits’ expectations and earned above ₹3 crores on its first day. The movie not only impressed large share of the audience but also succeeded to score at the box office.

Movie critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film’s first-day collection. He wrote, “#EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga had a lackluster start, but picked up at select urban centers towards evening”

Trade analysts made an early prediction that the film might earn between 2 to 3 crores on its opening day and will grow during its first week.

The film brings homosexuality to the mainstream cinema. The movie is captivating as it deals a progressive theme with great humor and emotional intelligence.

‘ELKDTHL’ isn’t just about the same-sex relationship but also talks about the communalism and freedom to choose one’s career. The movie is impactful, important, well-intended with a good entertainment factor and great performances by the leading actors.

Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor starrer ‘The Fakir of Venice’ was also released with Sonam Kapoor Ahuja starrer and Hollywood movies ‘Escape Room’ and ‘Mary Queen Of Scots’ made their way to Indian theatres this week.
