The boss of Indian television and entrepreneur Ekta Kapoor added another feather in her cap at the Economic Times Bussiness Icon of the Year Awards where she was awarded The Content Creator of the year.
Ekta posted a picture from the event with the award and wrote, “Pic a lil blur but Thanks @the_economic_times for the business icon for the content award !”
The creative director of Balaji managed to be an integral part of the development of multi mediums from television to films and digital space.
Ekta rebooted one of her hit tv shows ‘Kasautii Zindagii Ki’ for the younger generation and premiered the third season of ‘Naagin 3‘. She was also a producer for much talked about film ‘Veere Di Wedding’, a women-centric film which talked about topics that are otherwise considered taboos.
In digital space also the Queen of content is giving hits after hits in the form of web series via her Alt Balaji. Currently, Alt Balaji has become home to many different genres of shows, from family dramas like ‘Home and Hum’, to erotics like ‘XXX: Uncensored’ or ‘Gandii Baat’.
