Actress Elli Avrram is currently gearing up for her upcoming web series ‘The Verdict – State vs Nanavati’.

The Swedish Greek actress in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, opened up about her initial days, and the casting couch she faced.

Elli said that people from her country said that she would not fit into the Industry. For the preparation, she learnt Devanagari, changed her looks and practiced Bollywood dance moves.

Talking about her initial days in the Industry, Elli said that once during a meeting with two directors, had scratched her hand during the hand shake.

She later found out that it was an indication that the directors wanted sexual advances from her.

The actress also talked about the times when she was replaced from a film without prior information and because of that, lot another film which she could not do.

She also became emotional while talking about about the times when her dance performances from the award shows were deleted from the internet. “I cried so much because I am like who is this person who is doing this?”

‘The Verdict – State vs Nanavati’ is an upcoming web series created by Ekta Kapoor, based on the famous case, K.M. Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra. It premiered on 30 September, 2019 on the online streaming platforms ALT Balaji and Zee5.
