Emraan Hashmi is coming back with a new project. He was last seen in Baadshaho(2017), written by Rajat Arora, and directed and co-produced by Milan Luthria. Along with Emraan the film features Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Vidyut Jammwal, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in the lead roles.
His upcoming film is going to be Emraan Hashmi’s home production and is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg’s Ellipsis Entertainment.
This film is titled “Cheat India” and the shoot begun today in Lucknow. Directed by Gulaab Gang director Soumik Sen, this is the second flick from Hashmi’s production house. Earlier, in a press statement, Hashmi said, “The script and title of Cheat India are supremely powerful. This is among the most engaging and riveting stories I’ve read in a while and I am thrilled to be essaying what I believe will be a landmark role in my filmography. I am also looking forward to working with some formidable partners – Soumik, an amazing storyteller.”
Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi has signed one more film The Body, this movie will also feature model/actor Sobhita Dhulipala. This movie is going to be an official remake of the Spanish thriller El Cuerpo. “I can’t talk much about the character except for the fact that it’s quite well fleshed out. When I got the script, I literally finished reading it in an hour. She (Sobhita’s character) is young and an absolute alpha; her role has interesting layers. She is a little more than the girl-next-door,” Sobhita says, adding that she is also glad to have worked with actors Rishi Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi in the film.
Cheat India is slated to release on 25 January and will be clashing with Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 at the box office.
