The advent of the over the top streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime has given a boost to new voices to tell their kind of stories.
One key player in the streaming scene is Ekta Kapoor’s ALT Balaji which has a plethora of series and shows that people binge on.
Recently, the second season of the 2019 drama web series ‘Baarish’ began filming and its producer Ekta shared a picture on her Instagram profile to announce it.

The first season was directed by Nandita Mehra and starred Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi in the lead roles who fall in love with each other despite having distinct personalities.
It was released on ALT Balaji app on 25 April this year and was well received by the viewers, specially the chemistry between the main leads.
Sharman was last seen playing an ISRO scientist in ‘Mission Mangal’, which proved to be a critical and commercial success.
Ekta has several other popular web series like ‘Broken and Beautiful’, ‘Gandi Baat’, ‘Apaharan’, ‘The Verdict’ and many more.
