The Indian audience is now well aware of the web shows and they know how to differentiate quality content. To be honest, most of us were introduced to this category by Netflix’s original Indian series Sacred Games and post which the wave of web series spread all across the nation.

Now, all of us have become pretty experienced in binge watching numerous seasons of a show at a time. And as of now, a lot of series have created a new universe of the Indian web shows.

So here’s taking a look at some of the finest shows from the Indian web series universe. We will not be mentioning Sacred Games and Mirzapur as all of us are well aware of it. So, take a look:

Inside Edge

We all are well versed with Amazon Prime’s series Mirzapur but many of us still don’t know about Inside Edge which was the first Indian show to release on Prime. Based on the gambling world inside the well organized game of cricket, this series is a gripping story which revolves around an Indian Cricket League and the story is shown from the perspective of Team Mumbai Mavericks.

Very well packed storylines and with fine performances, this show keeps up with the suspense till the end of the last episode. A ten episodic saga which was released back in 2017 and now consists of a second season too which was premiered in December 2019.

Breathe

The series follows two men who are willing to go to any level in order to protect their loved ones and the story is filled with twists and turns as both these characters cross paths with each other. Another Prime series which is a great piece when it comes to Indian web series universe.

Starring R Madhavan and Amit Sadh, the series has eight episodes and is quite an interesting watch. One thing is definitely sure that no one can beat Prime when it comes to interesting Indian content. Breathe is one of such which is thrilling as well as entertaining.

Asur

The recently released Voot series Asur is set in the religious city of Varanasi and follows the story of a brutal serial killer and how investigation takes place unfolding mysteries. A show which is a pure mixture of thriller and suspense, Asur also stood out because of the use of mythological themes which perfectly syncs with the story.

Starring Arshad Warsi and Sharib Hashmi in the lead roles, this is one of the interesting series ever made in India.

Afsos

The series which has an equal dose of comedy as well as suspense, was the best one to come out in 2020. The series follows the journey Nakul who eagerly wants to quit his life and after several suicide failures he decides to pay for his own death to an assassin.

With fine writing and an amazing performance by Gulshan Devaiah, Afsos makes up the list of finest web series of the Indian Universe.
