Deepika Padukone is gearing up for the upcoming Indian period drama movie titled ‘Padmavati‘. The movie which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari.
Today, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh reveals the first look poster for the upcoming movie titled ‘Padmavati’ on his Twitter account along with a caption saying, “Here it is… First look posters featuring Deepika Padukone in Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom18’s #Padmavati… #PadmavatiFirstLook.”

In the poster, Deepika is looking very beautiful in her royal avatar. Deepika’s upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’ will be based on the life of the legendary queen Rani Padmini, which mentioned as a Padmavat. She was a wife of the ruler of Mewar Rana Rawal Ratan Singh. In 1303, the Turkic ruler of the Delhi Alauddin Khilji laid siege to the Chittor Fort in Rajputana. Alauddin invasion motivated him to capture Rani Padmini.
In the movie, Deepika Padukone will be portraying the role of a Rani Padmini, where Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing her on-screen husband and Ranveer Singh will be portraying the role of an Alauddin Khilji. The movie has already created a lot of buzz in the Bollywood town, before its release.
The movie ‘Padmavati’ is all set to release on December 1, 2017.
