Marvel fans are eagerly waiting for the third spiderman film in the MCU franchise. In 2019 Spiderman: Far From was released in which the identity of Spiderman got revealed to the public.
While ever since Spidey’s identity got released, rumors started doing rounds about a multiverse. The second spiderman installment was expected to be the one that would have introduced the multiverse.
Though Spiderman 3 is going to be a fun ride. Sony, which owns the film rights to Spiderman earlier announced that Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as electro in the third Spiderman film.
The actor previously played the role in Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spiderman 2. Joining him is JK Simmons who reprises his role of J Jonah Jameson, which he played in the Tobey Maguire led spiderman films. In Far From Home, he made a special cameo at the end of the film.
After Tony Stark died in Avengers Endgame, questions were raised about who will play the role of Peter Parker’s mentor. Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange is the one, who is stepping in the film and will likely portray Parker’s mentor.
The director of the third part is Jon Watts who also, directed the previous two Holland led Spiderman films.
December 17, 2021, is the release date for Spiderman 3.
