The National award-winning 44-year-old actor Arjun Rampal is playing the main lead in Ashim Ahluwalia’s ‘Daddy’, based on the life of former gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, who is called as the king of Dagdi Chawl, a settlement in Mumbai. Daddy is the nickname Gawli’s admirers had given to him.
The makers of ‘Daddy’ starring Arjun Rampal previously released a teaser video of the first song ‘Qawaali’ from the movie. With just 14 seconds, they showed us a glimpse of Arjun and Aishwarya Rajesh .They released the full song on Eid. The highlight of the Eid Mubarak song is the sizzling chemistry between Arjun and Aishwarya. The song is not only catchy but also conveys a lot about the film.
Arjun’s look which has already been revealed before the trailer came out is uncannily similar to that of Arun’s. Aishwarya will be playing his wife in the film. The movie is helmed by Ashim Ahluwalia and produced by Arjun Rampal and Rutvij Patel. It is scheduled to release in theatres on July 21.
