Friends culminated its run on TV in 2004. Since, then the show has been aired several times again, currently on HBO Max the show has again made a record. Its massive popularity has made it the no. 1 show on the platform, which launched on May 27. Behind it, on second position is the Anna Kendrick starrer, Love Life.
This news comes amidst a report from Deadline, which states that during an AT&T’s call last week, CEO John Stankey told that they have 4.1 new signups. These include direct outreach and AT&T wireless offers.
As per Deadline’s report even though its numbers are less than that of Disney+, the platform will reach its target of 50 million subscribers in US by 2025. While, releasing the rankings the company didn’t state any specific viewership numbers.
On the other hand, Big Bang Theory has surprised even Warner Media with its performance. It is currently on No. 3 spot as per ‘Variety’. Along with Friends, Big Bang Theory has helped HBO max in increasing its numbers.
Eight of the original shows running on HBO Max are currently in top 25. These are Love Life, Doom Patrol, Looney Tunes Cartoons, The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo, ballroom competition series Legendary, Search Party, Close Enough and Expecting Amy.
