Fukrey Returns new song ‘Mehbooba’ released!

The first song ‘Mehbooba’ from the upcoming comedy movie titled ‘Fukrey Returns‘ has been released today. It is almost been four long years since the first installment of the movie ‘Fukrey’ got released and the movie hit the screen. Now, the makers of the movie are coming back with its sequel and they have even recreated the iconic song ‘O Meri Mehbooba’ from the 1977 fantasy-adventure movie titled ‘Dharam Veer’, which was directed by Manmohan Desai.

Today, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh released the first song ‘Mehbooba’ from the movie titled ‘Fukrey Again’ on his Twitter account along with a caption saying, “Put on your dancing shoes… Here’s #Mehbooba, the party track from #FukreyReturns… Song link.”

The song ‘Mehbooba’ comes in the movie at a very crucial point exactly one year after the original movie ended. When all the four boys Hunny, Choocha, Lali, and Zafar are enjoying their life believing that their past is behind them when lives spiral downward.

Producer of the movie, Ritesh Sidhwani says that Harshdep has sent them the scratch with the hook line being ‘O Meri Mehbooba’. The makers of the movie are retained the Mohd Rafi’s voice because they feel that it is a great song and they just wish that everyone should like this version. Earlier, the song was sung by Mohammad Rafi and was picturized on Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman in a movie Dharam Veer.

However, the song has been sung by the Neha Kakkar along with Yasser Desai and the music of the song has been given by Hrashdeep and Prem. The song has been rapped by Raftaar. With this song, the makers of the movie are continuing with the tradition of recreating a yesteryear melody for the younger generation.
