Prequel of Game of Thrones

One of the most successful shows of HBO ‘Game Of Thrones‘ will have its eighth and final season premiered this year in April. This might be the end of the story but not the end of the Westeros saga. The production of its prequel will start soon, in early summer this year.

The prequel will showcase the story thousand years before the starting of the royal families and the bone of contentment- the iron throne. Casey Bloys, HBO’s programming president, told Entertainment Weekly that the show’s pilot will begin production in early summer. If the pilot is found worthy, a full series will then be ordered.

The prequel is created by Jane Goldman and stars Naomi Watts, Naomi Ackie and Denise Gough among others.

The official logline of the series, reads, “Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”

The final season of ‘Game Of Thrones’ will premiere on April 14 and it consists of six episodes. The teasers of the show have been dropping since the official announcement of the release date and it looks mysterious and exciting.
