Mohanlal announces the news of Drishyam 2 on his 60th birthday. The original film which became a huge hit at the time of its release is popular among audience even now.

Set in a small town in Kerela, the film is about a father who tries to cover up a murder members of his family committed. The murder shocks a small town of Kerela.
The sequel of the film will show the events which take place after the murder seven years later. Director Jeethu Joseph will helm the sequel too along with the original cast. Some new characters will also be their in the next film.
Drishyam was also remade in Hindi starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran And Tabu. The Hindi remake of the film also performed well at the box office and became a hit.
It will be interesting to see how the sequel will pan out after the events of the first film.
