At the 77th Golden Globes Award, Joaquin Phoenix took home the award in the Best Actor category for Joker. Rene Zellweger won the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for playing the title role in Judy.
The ceremony took place on 5 January (Sunday) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, U.S. It was hosted by English comedian Ricky Gervais for the fifth time, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge bagged the best actress award in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Fleabag, while Ramy Youssef won the best actor in the same category for Ramy.
