‘Good Newwz’: Akshay Kumar shares the trailer of Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Diljit starrer; Check out

After unveiling a new poster earlier today, the makers of the upcoming film Good Newwz have finally launched the trailer. The three minutes long hilarious video promises the viewers a fun ride ahead while bringing the important subject of IVF (In-vitro Fertilization) to the forefront.

The trailer suggests the film is about a couple Mr and Mrs Batra played by Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, who is not able to have a child due to some complications and hence decide to go for IVF. Another couple also called Mr and Mrs Batra played by Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani is also going through the same treatment.

A big goof up in the form of sperm mix up happens and Akshay’s sperm is transferred into Kiara’s uterus while Diljit’s sperm is transferred into Kareena’s. Therefore, Kareena carries her and Diljit’s baby while Kiara carries her and Akshay’s child.

The rest of the film is about both the couples coming to the terms with reality and adjusting to it which seems to promise some hilarious as well as emotional moments for the audience.

The trailer also features a remake version of the famous song Sauda Khara Khara.

Akshay took to his social media account to share the trailer and wrote, “Celebrate this Christmas with the Batra’s & the biggest goof-up! #GoodNewwzTrailer”

Good Newwz stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles while Tisca Chopra, Gulshan Grover, Anjana Sukhani, Yukta Mookhey, and Auritra Ghosh also appear in supporting roles.

Interestingly, while Akshay and Kareena have worked together in a number of films before, this would be the second time Diljit and Kareena will be seen in the same film. They were previously paired opposite each other in Udta Punjab.

Directed by debutant Raj Mehta, the film is produced by Karan Johar and Kumar under their respective banners Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

The film is slated to hit the screens in cinema halls on 27 December.
