Berlin International Film Festival choose Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ for world premier

Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Kalki Koechlin starrer ‘Gully Boy’ will have its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and is inspired by the life of rapper Divine, street rappers from Mumbai.

It is set for release on February 14, 2019.

In February this year, Alia Bhatt shared a photo of the poster. It had Ranveer in the upper half and Alia in the lower.

After getting the news, all the actors, including the director are super excited and shared their happiness in there own way on their respective social media account.

The director’s brother and the famous actor Farhan Akhtar tweeted about it and congratulated the team of ‘Gully Boy.

The 69th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival will run from February 7 to 17 next year.

Lone Scherfig’s ‘The Kindness of Strangers’ will open the festival. French Actress Juliette Binoche will be the jury president.
