Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy got the benefit of Maha Shivratri holiday as it minted ₹1.25 crore net on its third Monday. The total third-week collection of the movie stands at ₹9.90 crores.
The film has collected ₹98.30 crores in the first week, ₹24.32 crores in the second week, ₹1.15 crores on Friday, ₹2.00 crores on Saturday, ₹2.50 crores on Sunday and ₹1.25 crore on Monday in its third week at the box-office.
Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest figures and news around the film ‘Gully Boy’, He wrote, ”#GullyBoy benefitted from the partial holiday [#Mahashivratri] on Mon… Biz on [third] Mon, therefore, was slightly higher than [third] Fri… Eyes ₹ 140 cr *lifetime biz*… [Week 3] Fri 1.18 cr, Sat 2.10 cr, Sun 2.55 cr, Mon 1.28 cr. Total: ₹ 134.21 cr. India biz”.

The film is an undergod story about a poor guy from Dharavi named Murad (Ranveer), whose dreams are bigger than his reality. Alia Bhatt (Safeena) is starring as Murad’s love interest and is a medical student. The movie has many layers to it, as the protagonist finds himself, his desires, and how he expresses himself through the art of poetry and rhythm (RAP).
