The upcoming release of singer, composer, and actor Himesh Reshammiya Happy Hardy and Heer has got a new date. The film was earlier slated for 3 January 2020 but now has been postponed to be released on 31 January.
Revealing the reason behind the film’s postponement, Reshammiya told news agency IANS, “Since I have become a judge on Indian Idol, I had to adjust my dates for promotion (of the film). The music has got a fabulous response, and is growing day by day. Our plan is to do more concerts across the country, for which we required more dates, and we collectively decided to now come on 31 January.”
Talking about the film Himesh earlier told the agency, “Happy Hardy and Heer is a film I am very proud of. The look , music and the performances of each character have come out to be amazing, along with the fine work by the director Raka. I am thankful to my producers for always being so supportive and having full faith in this project.”
Directed by Raka, Happy Hardy and Heer is a romantic comedy film, produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh and Sabita Manakchand. Himesh Reshammiya will be seen playing a double role in a film for the first time. He will be seen as Harpreet Singh Lamba aka Happy / Harshvardhan Bhatt aka Hardy. The film features Punjabi actor Sonia Mann as Heer, the female lead. Mann has previously appeared in 2014 film Kahin Hai Mera Pyar alongside well known actors Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Kapoor.
