After unveiling a number of posters and songs last month, the makers of the upcoming film Happy Hardy and Heer have finally released the trailer today. The two minutes and one second long video features singer, composer, and actor Himesh Reshammiya in a double role and Punjabi actor Sonia Mann.
The trailer just gives an introduction of the characters and explicitly tells the same old tale of two guys in love with one woman. There is nothing in the trailer which can stimulate some curiosity in the viewers and pull them to cinema halls.
It starts with a voice over by Reshammiya introducing himself as Harpreet Lamba aka Happy and Sonia Mann as Heer Randhawa. He confesses that he is madly in love with her but he has friendzoned him. He tells us he was heartbroken when Heer told him he is in love with someone else. We then meet Harshvardhan Bhatt aka Hardy (also played by Reshammiya) who says he will marry Heer even if he has to sacrifice his life for it.
Reshammiya took to his Instagram account to share the trailer and wrote, “In the era of friendzone, will love win? We bring to you the most relatable love story of 2020.”

Talking about the film in a previous interview, Reshammiya told IANS, “Happy Hardy and Heer is a film I am very proud of. The look , music and the performances of each character have come out to be amazing, along with the fine work by the director Raka. I am thankful to my producers for always being so supportive and having full faith in this project.”
Directed by Raka and produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh and Sabita Manakchand, Happy Hardy and Heer is scheduled to be released on 31 January.
