Harvey Weinstein is a man facing the effects of his own bad karma. Currently serving a 23 year long prison term, the disgraced producer has now landed further into a deep pit. On Thursday, the producer was hit by four new rape cases.

‘Variety’ is bringing this fresh piece of news with all of the allegations in detail. A woman, now 43 years old reported that, when she was 17 and went to a hotel to meet Weinstein for a meeting about work, she got raped by him. He allegedly demanded her to perform oral sex on him during the meeting. The incident took place in 1994 as per the report.

In another case, the producer is alleged to have fondled a woman’s breasts and vagina and forcibly pushed his tongue in her mouth. This is reported to have occured at the Cannes Film Festival in 1984. The woman who is living in Ecuador now, was at the time made to keep her closed by a friend. Her friend had told her that she could be blacklisted from the industry if she speaks about it.

Two other woman now 38 and 35 respectively, have made allegations against him. All the four women are suing Weinstein; his brother and former business partner, Bob; Miramax, the movie studio they founded; Disney, which once owned Miramax; and 10 other corporations, renewing allegations made elsewhere that they knew of his behavior and didn’t stop him.

The producer was first accused by charges of sexual misconduct in October 2017. ‘The New York Times’ first reported the incident back then and since then more than 100 actresses have made allegations against him. Famous actresses like Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman and Salma Hayek have made allegations against him too.

Weinstein is known for producing films such as ‘Shakespeare In Love’, ‘Pulp fiction’, ‘Sex lies and videotapes’ among many others. He won an academy award for ‘Shakespeare In Love’.

Sexual allegations against him had sparked the #Metoo movement in Hollywood which led to the revelation of sexual allegations against powerful men around the world. This came to be known as the ‘Weinstein Effect’ in media.

Harvey Weinstein is currently serving his sentence in state prison. He arrived there in March. A giant fall from grace for Weinstein indeed.
