OTT platform Hotstar released the first trailer of its upcoming web show ‘Roar Of The Lion’ featuring MS Dhoni. The show will be a short documentary about the former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni his IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The show is executively produced by Kabir Khan and Dhoni’s documentary will be the first among a series called Hotstar Specials that the streaming service has launched.
In a 45-seconds video, Dhoni tells about the most serious crime a player can commit is not murder, but match-fixing, for what it does to one’s career and team’s reputation even after they are proven innocent. He tells about the 2013 match-fixing scandal, which led to his IPL team CSK’s suspension for two whole years.
Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja also appear in the video, in blink and miss moment.
The official synopsis of the show reads, “Called MSD, Mahi, Captain Cool, Thala and more by the billions of fans that cheer him on and off the field, MSD’s story is known to all. Or so you think! He has another story to tell, one that not even his closest friends know. What is it all about? His toughest moment as a sportsman, cricketer, captain, husband, father or more?”
