Bollywood is a place where there is stiff competition and insecurity prevails rampantly. Many a times, actors and actresses refuse to work in films simply because it has multiple actors in it. Some times they feel threatened by the presence of other actors and are afraid of being overshadowed by them. It is well known now that Karisma Kapoor’s role in Dil Toh Pagal Hai was rejected by a number of actresses because they thought the film was centered around Madhuri Dixit. Juhi Chawla even confessed years after the film was released that she rejected the role because she thought she would be overshadowed by Madhuri.
While many stars are not open about being insecure by fellow actors, some are candid enough to openly admit it. And actress Kriti Kharbanda whose recent release Housefull 4 has emerged as a blockbuster despite all the negative reviews is one of them.

While promoting her latest film Pagalpanti, the actress recently admitted that she was very insecure before giving a confirmation for Housefull 4. The reason was simple and obvious that it has a huge star cast and she was fearing that she might go unnoticed.
“I was very insecure while signing Housefull 4 because it is an ensemble. It is the first time I am working with two other girls (Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde). You don’t know the kind of treatment you are going to get, the kind of screen time you are going to get. The other two actresses have said no about being insecure but frankly I was very insecure,” she said.

The actress admitted that her confidence was boosted when her cameo appearance in Karwaan got appreciated. “Fortunately, after first schedule of Housefull 4, Karwaan released. I had a three minute long role in it and people still wrote about it. That took my confidence up a few notches where I felt if I can do this in three minutes, I think I can do well for myself,” she shared.

On the work front, Kriti Kharbanda’s latest film Pagalpanti is released on 22 November that also has an ensemble cast. She was also doing Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre but the latest reports suggest she has left the project. She is also doing Bejoy Nambiar’s Taish where she will be seen with her beau Pulkit Samrat.
