Housefull 4 is doing phenomenal business despite the negative reviews. The film has shown a very good collection in the second week and is inching towards Rs 200 crore. But there have been some people raising doubts over the authenticity of the figures put out as its box office collection.

Riteish Deshmukh who appears as Bangdu Maharaj / Roy in the fourth installment of Housefull franchise has opened up about such allegations made against the film’s business.

During a promotional interview of his upcoming film Marjaavaan, the actor suggested to “have computerised system where every ticket when bought goes automatically to the sensex where you know exactly what the box office figures are.”

The actor further added, “There is certain amount of negativity for Housefull 4 not for box office but for the film. There might be people who may not have liked the film. I respect their opinion. But to prove a point that that is the opinion of the nation is something one shouldn’t go after. Let the audience go and figure out for themselves. Over the period, post Diwali, it is still collecting. It is only possible if people accept the film. If people reject it, it is not possible to reach that figure.”

Riteish also cited Fox Star Studios that such a big international name would not put its reputation at stake by fudging the figures. “We are talking about Fox Star Studios who have an international reputation. I am sure they would also care for what their reputation is at stake when they are giving figures out.  And for a few crore here and there I doubt they would want to put their reputation at stake,” he concluded.
