After the overwhelming success of the biographical drama Super 30 earlier this year, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan gave the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2019 as of now in the form of War. Looking at his physique and the success of his last film, many feel the actor should be doing more action films.
But it turns out it is not in his hands. He just chooses from what he is offered. During a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actor revealed that he is dependent on the kind of scripts and directors who approach him.
Roshan shared that after his 2017 action thriller film Kaabil, he was looking to do an action film. In fact, he met almost the entire industry and encouraged a lot of people to write an actioner for him.
“I waited for a year for something impactful in that space, but it was Super 30 that struck a chord. That decided my fate for the next one year. People think I am deciding these things. But they are not in my control,” said the actor who has previously done action comedy Bang Bang, action drama Agneepath and other films in the action space.
The actor also revealed that he does not mind doing an ensemble cast or a two-hero film but it must be intelligently written. “Blowing up cars and fist fights are not action for me. It should emanate from the protagonist’s attitude,” said the actor who has been voted the Sexiest Asian Male of 2019 as well as the last decade in an online poll in the UK.
