Hrithik Roshan is still basking in the success of his recent superhit film War. The film has already crossed the mark of 300 crores and has become the biggest film of this year 2019. Hrithik is currently all set to star in the remake of 1982 hit film, Satte Pe Satta. The film will also star Anushka Sharma in the lead, which would be her first film with Hrithik.
We should tell you that the film has long been announced by Farah Khan but the twist now is that this film could come before Hrithik’s action drama Krrish 4. Hrithik has for long talked about the next ‘Krrish sequel’ but it seems his fans have to wait little longer for the film.
According to close sources, the shooting for Satte Pe Satta can be started later this year and only after the release of this film, shooting for Krrish 4 will start. Taking a look at timeline, Satte Pe Satta can come out in festival season of 2020 and Krrish 4 will come out in 2021 and Hrithik is known as someone who doesn’t do more than 1 film a year.
One reason for Hrithik choosing to do Satte Pe Satta remake is that the film promises a hit already. It is directed by Farah Khan and will be produced by Rohit Shetty. If we take a look at original Satte Pe Satta, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini, it was a huge success in it’s time. This is one reason that Hrithik is playing it safe and doesn’t want to take big risks at this point of his career.
Talking about the film more, Anushka has almost been confirmed for the role of female lead but there has not been any official confirmation for it. If Anushka says ‘Yes’ to it, it will be Anushka’s first film after the flop of her last effort, Zero.
Another update regarding the film is that, TV actor Rithvik Dhanjani has bagged the role of Hrithik’s brother in the movie. According to Pinkvilla, “Rithvik Dhanjani has bagged the role of one of the brothers in the remake. Not just him, Maniesh Paul, Nakuul Mehta have respectively got themselves a pivotal role in the movie. The movie is currently in the pre-production stage and will on floors in December this year.”
