Gurinder Chadha is a strong filmmaker: Huma Qureshi!

Huma Qureshi is all set to work with an International director Gurinder Chadha in her upcoming movie titled “Partition: 1947“, which is based on British documents discussed in Narendra Singh Sarila’s book ‘The Shadow of the Great Game’ and recommended to her by Prince Charles.

In a recent interview, Huma was asked about her experience with the director Gurinder Chadha, she said, “She is a strong filmmaker. I love working with strong people because they push you to perform better and give your best. I had always wanted to work and was excited to do so.”

Talking about her upcoming movie, Huma said, “Its a story of India about on partition and thrown light on why it happened. The script is based on documents that were declassified by the British government sometime back.”

The story of her upcoming movie “Partition: 1947″ features political personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Lord Mountbatten and others, and Gurinder said she had to be very careful about showing them on celluloid, On this director Gurinder Chadha said, “I had to be careful about how I would treat Jinnah, Nehru, and Gandhi and also (Winston) Churchill. It was quite a big task.” She added, “I met Narendra ji and spent 18 months with him, discussing the subject. We had several meetings and I asked him a lot of things.”

Partition: 1947‘ is all set to releases on August 18.
