The whole country is in shock after news broke out about the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor who died by suicide, yesterday at 34 years of age, had made a name for himself in Bollywood. In a short span of time he had starred in memorable films such as Kai Po Che!, Ms Dhoni: The untold story, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and Chhichhore.

Best remembered for his role as Dhoni in the Indian Cricket Legend’s 2015 biopic, Sushant was on a wonderful path ahead. Now, Director of films such as Zilla Ghaziabad and Delhii Heights, Anand Kumar have revealed that he would have casted him in his next film.

The film was going to be a biopic on Indian Football legend, Bhaichung Bhutia. The director had Sushant in the mind for the role and now in an interview said :

“I am totally devastated by the news of Sushant’s suicide. This July, I was planning to meet Sushant and his team to discuss the biopic and the plan ahead. He is such a great guy. I have known him since his days in television.”

He further added, He could have looked like Bhutia because of his eyes and athletic body. I hadn’t talked to Sushant about the film. It was in my team’s mind and we were all set to approach him.

The director and his team had earlier spent some time with the Footballer in Siliguri and Delhi to discuss details about making his biopic.

Sushant who passed away yesterday, was last seen in Chhichhore and Abhishek Chaubey’s critically acclaimed film, Sonchiriya.
