An Indian actor Irrfan Khan says that he has been asked to do a compromise if he wants work. Where Hollywood has been rocked by the Harvey Weinstein scandal. On this actor, Irrfan says that the things are not different in Bollywood in his initial days he was asked to do the compromise.
Recently during the media interaction, Irrfan says that he has been receiving the end of such proposals and he says that it has happened to him a lot many times. He does not feel good to take the name of the screen but it has been hinted to him a lot many times and there was a time when he has been clearly told that if he is ready to do the compromise then only he will get the job. But now he feels that such thing does not happen.
Irrfan says that the things are very tricky and especially when it comes from a people whom you know much. He says that the invitation has come from both from the males as from the females. He feels that such things are slightly weird when you know someone from a very long time and you respect those people a lot and they give you such offers then you feel dynamic and the relationship will change after that between that two people. Irrfan feels very sad for that but he thinks that one has the power to accept or to refuse such offers.
Recently in the New York Times gave the detailed that Weinstein has alleged sexual misconducted more than 50 women and now all of them have come forward after the October 5 report. An actor Irrfan Khan has also worked in the major Hollywood movies as well such as ‘Jurassic World’, ‘Life of Pi’ and much more he says that anything which is happening with the mutual consent should be condemned because in life you do experience these things many times.
There might be a person who will come to you and propose that if you sleep with them then they will give you work, but he thinks that you are the only one who has the power to say no. However, these kinds of indications are given to both men and women, but he feels that generally such issues are faced by the women more as compared to men. This is happening without the consent or forcefully, then it is really bad and saddening as well.
Irrfan says that if there is someone who is repeatedly doing this same thing then he/she must be exposed and it is very important for everyone to share such things with your parents or with your friends. The way the people behave that is also a reflection on the society. He feels that sexually exploit someone is a disease in itself and this also reflects the dynamics of the society that it is sexually suppressed and where ever the sexual exploitation go the one being who has more power will exploit the one who does not has a power.
Moreover, actor Irrfan Khan feels that the exploitation is just not a keep factor it is the suppression and people should be allowed to get mingle with each other because the government or any of the other bodies are not the ones to pass the judgments.
