Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan says that he was not welcomed when he tried his luck in the Hollywood industry. Irrfan will be soon be seen in the movie ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle‘. The movie which is said to be a contemporary love story between two people and both of them embark an unusual journey that soon turns into a mad adventure. The movie has been directed by Tanuja Chandra under the A Jar Pictures production. The movie has been shot at the real locations of Bikaner, Rishikesh, and Gangtok. The movie features Irrfan Khan and Parvathy in the lead role.
An actor Irrfan Khan has become one of the most celebrated import to the West over the years, but he says that there was a time when his own admission he was not really welcomed as far as the Hollywood is concerned. Remembering his old days, he said that many a time he got a negative vibe that he cannot work over here in the Hollywood industry. He says that the audience is the only one that feels proud of his work whatever he did so far.
He says that his desire and perseverance have always kept him in good stead. Irrfan says that there was a time when he was willing to sacrifice everything for the good work even if it is meant like exploring the opportunities in another industry and not just Hollywood. He says that he was looking for some engaging work and he sacrificed a lot of him in that.
Moreover, he says that even today he loses out on so much work here when he assigns his dates to a Hollywood project. Irrfan says that he would do it as no amount of money or fame can match that experience. When the Hollywood film director Ang Lee demands certain thing from you and that time you get really scared. If you are working the director Ang Lee then you have to dig within to find the resources in order to portray the character.
He believes that such kind of experience recharges his batteries and give him a new outlook because he is a kind of person who deals with the story in a different way. However, Irrfan believes that you are in alignment with the director and there are certain challenges that are mandatory for an actor.
