Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan says that he would like to associate himself with the content-driven cinema. On Friday, Irrfan stressed his conscious decision to associate with the content-driven cinema. Now, he observes that the Hindi film audience has evolved themselves so much into it.
Yesterday, at the trailer launch of his upcoming romantic movie title ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’. Irrfan feels that the content-driven cinema has been going from a very long time now and it was actually started by the audience. Moreover, he says that the footfall in cinema halls for the Hindi mainstream movies are falling and the audience has evolved a little by watching the outside cinema and the television series, they are either watching Hollywood or Indian regional cinema. They are doing better business because the audience is able to relate, engage to it and they are getting entertained by it.
Actor Irrfan Khan was last seen in the movie titled ‘Hindi Medium’ and with that movie, the audience could not relate themselves to the generic cinema of Bollywood. He believes that the Hindi cinema has been so generic till now that it also lacks the relatability and now the audience has started to ask the questions like if the Hollywood and regional cinema can do it then why can not Hindi cinema come up with the movies which they can easily relate to. If they are talking about something so that he can easily engage himself in a dialogue.
Moreover, he believes that the movies are not made just for the sake of making it, however, there are some movies which are made solely for the entertainment purpose and nothing else. He would like to associate himself with those movies which have a constant discussion with the audience even after the movie ends.
Irrfan has even appreciated Rajkummar Rao’s work in the movie ‘Newton’ and said that the movie has resonated and connected with the audience. He said that not only his movies but Rajkummar’s two movies did so well without even expectations and this all happened because of the audience that has evolved themselves with the movie.
With his upcoming movie title ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’, Malayalam actress Parvathy is making her debut with the movie. She has even shared her experience of working along with the actor Irrfan Khan. She said that Irrfan is a gentleman and it was very difficult for her to match up to his level of acting and romance. She even said that most of the people have not seen Irrfan’s romantic side, after watching his upcoming movie ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ you will all come to know his level of romance.
Talking much about the movie ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ which is a contemporary love story of two people. Both of them embark on an unusual journey that soon turns into a mad adventure. The movie is directed by the Tanuja Chandra under the A Jar Pictures production. The movie has been shot on the real locations of Bikaner, Rishikesh, and Gangtok.
The movie ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is all set to release on November 10, 2017.
