Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter bags the ‘Best Actor Award’ for his debut movie ‘Beyond The Clouds‘ at the International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey. However, the actor dedicated the award to his mother and actor Neelima Azeen and to the Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi.
Ishaan said that the award is an absolute honor for him and he says that whatever he earns from his work will always, first and foremost dedicated to his mother. He thanked his mother for giving him the gift of life and art. For the director Majid Majidi, he said that he is a masterful, wonderful, absolute legend of a man who trusted him and gave him the opportunity to essay the role in the movie as the movie ‘Beyond The Cloud’ marks his first leading performance.
Moreover, he thanked Majid and he said that he will always be indebted to him for the role he gave it to him. He even thanked the cast and crew of the movie because they all given a lot of efforts in making the movie. The movie which celebrates the triumph and adoration of life and it has been set at the Mumbai backdrop. The movie was screened at the International Bosphorus Film Festival in Istanbul and the movie ‘Beyond the clouds’ was competing as the part of the International Feature Film Category. The movie even won the Best Editing award.
At the Film Festival, Ishaan was present along with his mother Neelima, director Majid Majidi, producer Shareen Mantri (from Namah Pictures) and Vibha Chopra from (Zee Studios International). Beyond the cloud had its Indian premier as it was the opening movie at the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
The movie narrates the heartwarming tale of a brother and sister and will also show that how they find the happiness in the separation and turbulent time. It will also be exploring the serious issues like separation, but the director Majid has not portrayed the movie in a dressing tale, he narrated the movie with a ray of hope. The movie was produced by Zee Studios and Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures.
The movie got scheduled in early 2018. Award-winning composer A.R Rahman has given the music in the movie and the cinematography has been done by Anil Mehta and the dialogues of the movie have been written by the Vishal Bhardwaj.
On the work front, Ishaan is gearing up for his upcoming movie titled ‘Dhadak‘, which is said to be an official remake of a Marathi blockbuster movie ‘Sairat’. The movie will be directed by Shashank Khaitan and will be produced by Karan Johar. The movie features Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the lead. The movie is all set to release on July 6, next year.
