Known for his brilliant performance in Kabir Singh, a remake of 2017 telugu film Arjun Reddy; actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to work on his next ‘Jersey‘ which is also a remake of 2019 Telugu movie with the same name starring south-superstar Nani.
The Udta Punjab actor took it to his instagram today to give us a sneak peek into the prep session of the film. In the video Shahid can be seen preparing hard, to ace the character and get everything right. The actor shared a video of him practising cricket on-ground and wrote, “#jersey #prep.” To which brother Ishaan Khattar immediately came up with a comment to get the actor going. He wrote, “Shoooooooooooootttttttttt????.” Check out the video.

Previously, the Haider fame shared a picture with his fans to announce the start of his preparations. He posted a picture and while Jersey as he looked all geared up to begin. He captioned it as,“#jersey the prep begins.” Have a look.

Talking about the film, television fame and Super 30 actor Mrunal Thakur will be seen romancing Shahid in the film. Reportedly, speaking of the same Mrunal said, “I am super excited to play the lead opposite Shahid in Jersey. When I saw the original film, I was bowled over by its passionate emotional journey. It felt like I had lived a full lifetime of experiences in those two-plus hours.”

The actor also added, “So deep was the effect of the film on me that I couldn’t get it out of my heart the whole night, so I immediately watched it again the next day. I can’t wait for Hindi audiences to experience a similar impact.”
The film will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri who also helmed the original film. The story revolves around the life of a talented and failed cricketer Arjun, who later in his thirties decides to live his dreams and become a part of Indian Cricket Team. Jointly produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju; the film is slated to hit the screens in 2020.
