After giving a blockbuster in 2019 with Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is back to set fire on big screens with his upcoming cricket drama Jersey. The much-anticipated Shahid Kapoor sports drama is set to hit the theatres on April 14.

After multiple release announcements, Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer film Jersey is finally scheduled to release. Ever since the first trailer’s release, fans are eager to witness the much-anticipated sports drama on screen. And as soon as the second trailer got released, we just can’t keep calm to witness Shahid Kapoor in Arjun’s character. Check out the trailer of Jersey.

The new trailer features the bond between Shahid Kapoor and his son in Jersey. The video shows the emotional side of Shahid’s character Arjun and his efforts to get back to the cricket field at the age of 36. The father-son chemistry has all our hearts.

Shahid Kapoor is set to woo his fans again with his charm and unique style. However, this time the actor is truly going to make a mark as he channelizes his inner love for cricket portraying the character of a cricketer in Jersey.

More About Shahid Kapoor’s Sports Drama ‘Jersey’

Jersey is a remake of the 2019 Telugu film of the same name featuring Nani in the lead. Both the Telugu version and the Hindi remake are helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.

Earlier the film was scheduled to release on December 31, 2021. However, the pandemic played a spoilsport which resulted in postponing it. The cricket drama depicts the story of a failed cricketer, who strives back to get back to the cricket field to fulfil his son’s dream.

Actress Mrunal Thakur will be seen portraying Shahid Kapoor’s wife in the film. Veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor will also be seen sharing the screen with his son Shahid Kapoor in Jersey. This also marks the first collaboration of the father-son duo on screen.

The much-awaited sports drama Jersey is slated to hit the theatres on April 14.
