Indian film actor, producer, and a former model, John Abraham was last seen in Milap Zaveri’s ‘Satyamev Jayate’ as a cop. John has played the cop in several other movies like ‘Paap’, ‘Force’, ‘Dishoom’ and ‘Force 2’. Now he is all set to play the role of cop again on the big screen.

According to the reports, the actor will play a cop in ‘Officer Khan’ which was supposedly based on a novel titled, ‘Moryaa Re: The Ganpati Murders’. Now, a source has rubbished the old rumors and stated that the film is based on a real-life personality, an Indian-Americal police officer and not on a novel.

“The movie is about a common man who becomes a police officer and not a book adaptation. In fact, it’s based on a real-life personality, an Indian-American cop,” says the source.

Rensil D’Silva will direct the movie. He has previously directed films like ‘Kurbaan’ and ‘Ungli’.

The rights of the novel have also been bought by John Abraham but that will be another movie, based on a serial killer.

Currently, the actor-producer is working in Nikkhil Advani’s directorial ‘Batla House‘ based on 2008 Batla house encounter against Indian Mujahiddin terrorists. It will be released this year on 15th August. His other movie ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ is yet to be announced.
