JOHN ABRAHAM: ‘LOOKING GOOD CAN BE TEDIOUS’!

John Abraham is an Indian film actor, producer, and a former model. He made his Bollywood debut with the 2003 movie Jism, which earned him a Filmfare Best Debut Award nomination. Later, he did many films like  Dhoom, Zinda, Water, Baabul, Kaal, Garam Masala, Taxi No. 9211, Dostana, New York, Force, Desi Boyz, Housefull 2, Race 2, Shootout at Wadala, Madras Cafe, Welcome Back, Dishoom, and the latest Force 2 thus establishing himself as a commercially successful actor of India cinema.

Over the years, John has maintained his rugged movie avatar as an action specialist. John recently said that looking good is just not an easy job and that he makes sure to follow his skin care rituals religiously. John said, “Monsoons usher in all things warm and cozy. But as ying is to yang, the sometimes-humid-sometimes-dry-sometimes-wet weather takes its toll on your skin. Nobody is an exception to it, not even Bollywood. For artists, looking good all the time can be a tedious job.”

John’s first and most important tip is to keep the skin hydrated, especially during the monsoon, John said, “The humidity tends to take away the moisture from the skin which makes it look dull and dry. I drink at least seven-eight glasses of water through the day and this helps me get rid of unwanted toxins. Another way is to eat a lot of fruit.” He added, “Eating food that includes good fats is pivotal to repair damaged skin and retaining moisture. I try to stay away from processed foods.”

The next step is cleansing. He revealed that his secret of gorgeous skin while performing his own stunt is matcha green tea-infused face wash. Jon said, “With so much activity, my skin tends to go through the stress and grind of the day.”

On the work front, John Abraham‘s upcoming movie “Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran” is directed by Abhishek Sharma, which is directed by India’s successful nuclear test in Pokhran in 1998. The movie also features Diana Penty and Boman Irani. The movie is set to release on December 8.
