What is with Shah Rukh Khan and Indian stadiums? First Wankhede and now Kalinga Stadium.

No, nothing happened yet. But SRK have been receiving threats from Kalinga Sena, that if he sets his foot in Odisha, ink will be thrown on actor’s face and he will be shown black flags.

Shahrukh Khan will visit Odisha during the inauguration of the Men’s Hockey World cup scheduled to be held at Kalinga Stadium in the city on November 27.

Kalinga Sena is furious by Shahrukh’s film ‘Ashoka’ which was released 17 years ago, dishonoured the state’s culture and its people by portraying the Kalinga war in a wrong way. Hemant Rath, the chief of the Sena, demanded an apology from the actor.

“We will take adequate security measures for the visit of Shah Rukh Khan during hockey world cup. However, the schedule of the actor is yet to be reached,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Sahu.

According to the Kalinga Sena, SRK hurt the sentiments of Odisha’s people, through his film.
