Kurukshetra (2019 film)

The makers of Kannada epic historical war film ‘Kurukshetra’ recently revealed that the film will be released in multiple languages. The film starring Darshan will be centered on Duryodhana, a Kaurava king and it is based on the poem Gadhayuddha by Ranna. The Darshan starrer will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Producers took the decision after the huge success of Yash starrer ‘KGF Chapter 1’ which was also released in multiple languages and went on to become the biggest earner in the history of Kannada cinema worldwide.

‘Kurukshetra’ is based on the Indian epic Mahabharata and it is written by J. K. Bharavi and directed by Naganna. It is produced on a huge budget by Muniratna Naidu.

This film is Darshan’s 50th film and it will be released in both 2D and 3D. V Harikrishna has composed music for the film.

The film stars an ensemble cast including Darshan, Ambarish, V. Ravichandran, Arjun Sarja, Nikhil Gowda, Sneha, Meghana Raj, Sonu Sood, Srinivasa Murthy, Danish Akhtar Saifi, Ravishankar and Hariprriya depicting characters from Mahabharata.
