Comedian Kapil Sharma says that his upcoming action comedy movie ‘Firangi‘ is not based on the typical pre-independence movie. The movie which is directed by Rajiev Dhingra and produced by Kapil Sharma himself. The movie also features Kapil Sharma, Ishita Dutta, and Monica Gill in the lead role. Currently, he is busy promoting his upcoming movie and he says that his movie is not based on the typical pre-independence movie.
When asked the comedian that does his movie is a based on the typical pre-independence movie like the audience have earlier seen in the Bollywood? On this, Kapil Sharma replied that the makers of the movie have tried to make a light-hearted movie. When the audience will see the movie they will see the different flavors in the movie. The movie covers romance, fun, action, comedy and it has emotions too. Earlier, all the period movies have mostly shown the sad things but with this movie, the makers wanted to show the lighter side of that period because even at that time people were living a normal life. However, the movie shows some sense of patriotism too and it is a complete family entertainer.
When asked the actor about his character in the movie. Kapil says that he is playing the character which is quite innocent. The character which he is portraying in the movie just wants to work for his family. Then he falls in a love with a girl and with time he understands that if he wants to be with her then he has to work and he finally gets a job with the Britishers.
Later, he got to know that his grandfather does not like anyone or anything which is related with the Britishers so there his character got trapped. Moreover, Kapil has revealed that he is all set to return to the small screen with his iconic role of Bittu Sharma as soon as the movie gets the release. The movie has been set up during the British colonial rule in India. In the movie, Kapil Sharma is portraying the character of Monga and the whole movie will revolve around his character.
