Karan Johar is one of the most influential film maker and producer in Bollywood who has given us many gems.
He recently shared a picture of his debut film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ on his Instagram profile, to celebrate its 21 years of release.

Karan had started his career as an actor and costume designer on the classic romantic drama, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.’
He then made his directorial debut with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherji in the lead roles.
The film was release on October, 1998 and met with positive critical reception and was among the highest grossing film of the year, in India and in abroad. It also won several National Film Awards, Filmfare and Zee Cine Awards.
Karan is currently gearing up to start filming his directorial venture, the period drama ‘Takht’, which stars Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
His upcoming production ventures include ‘Good Newz’, ‘Drive’ and ‘Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship’.
