The release date of Kalank, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer film has been preponed in order to observe an extended weekend of 5 days. Helmed by Abhishek Varman, will now release on April 17, which was earlier slated to release on April 19. A source close to the development said, “The idea is to capitalize on Mahavir Jayanti as well as Good Friday, besides Saturday and Sunday. It’s an extended weekend with two partial holidays. And going by past records, it’s a good time for a big film to release.”
