We’d earlier reported that, Kareena and Karisma would be sharing the stage after years at a conclave that was to be held by India Today.

The conclave happened on the 9th March, where among many other dignitaries it was these two women who were shone as bright as the son with their fierce and swift answers.

Kareena left the crowd in bits of laughter when she told interviewer Rajdeep Sardesai this – “You’re used to grilling all the politicians Rajdeep, we’re ready for you today,” through her very light yet extremely bold remark, she made a strong sense of her presence felt.

With the on-going debate about nepotism, taking off like a jet plane Karisma stood steady on the grounds, that talents mattered to most in the indsutry. She said, “It’s about talent. We may be anybody’s children or grandchildren, but once you’re on the silver screen, you are anyone. Anyone can criticise you.” Karisma and Kareena are daughters of Randhir Kapoor, and hail from the most dominant family in B-town.

Kareena backed her sister and said,”There are a lot of star children, if nepotism existed, they would all be number one.”

Talking about legend Sridevi untimely demise, the sisters said, “We were grief-stricken. We have idealised this woman for so many decades. Stardom can be here today and gone tomorrow, and an actor has to realise that.” They recalled there favourite Sridevi film as Khuda Gawah, which they’d actually watched 8 times in the theater.

Talking about motherhood, they had very strong points to make “My National Award, my Filmfare Awards, all my awards on one side and my children on the other. Children are the most important in the world. It’s the greatest blessing in the world. Motherhood has made us more mature, more giving and more selfless,” Karisma was quoted saying.

Karisma is a mother to two children and Kareena is mother to a son, who was born last year.

The conclave was a ball for the audience with two sisters giving such good answers and being so confident – setting extremely lovable goal for all women out there!
