Kennedy Club

The shooting of the Sasikumar and veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja starrer ‘Kennedy Club’ is almost complete as the team is currently filming the climax portion. The film is set in the backdrop of female Kabbadi players. Interestingly the film is said to be the costliest film of actor-director Sasikumar at a budget of ₹15 crores.

Now the makers have increased the cost by ₹2 crores by setting a grand set for the climax sequence. Producer Thai Saravanan of Nallusamy Pictures said, “At the moment, the shooting is happening at Kabbadi stadium in Vizhupuram, which involves 16 Kabbadi teams and 300 players all over India taking part in it. This includes players from Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Pune, Kerala, Andhra, and Mangalore. Although the shoot is set in Vizhupuram, it is being pictured as in backdrops of North India.”

“To ensure that the climax portion gets a realistic touch, we are actually conducting an original match and are filming it. Also, many spectators have been invited to view the match. The shooting of this climax portion is being held for ten days. Following this schedule, songs alone are left to wrap up the entire shooting,” the producer added.

‘Kennedy Club’ also stars national award-winning actor Samuthirakani, Gayathri, and comedian Soori in important roles.
