After winning hearts internationally Kannada movie ‘KGF: Chapter 1‘ will soon be available on Amazon Prime video. The Yash starrer will begin streaming on the digital platform from February 5.
Amazon Prime Video teased the fans from its Twitter handle and wrote, “5000 RTs and we release KGF ”. After getting a huge response of above 11 thousand retweets and 8 thousand likes from the fans and viewers, the OTT platform to make it available for all online.
It thanked twitterians for making the relase of KGF larger than life. It also revealed that the film will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Prashanth Neel directorial ‘KGF’ was released on 21 December last year with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’, it outran the latter and still running successfully in theatres. Surprisingly the film did great business in non-Kannada region, which made it the first Kannada movie to do so.
The film not only became the first Kannada movie to cross ₹ 200 crores in the global market but also became the first Kannada movie to get a commercial release in Pakistan.
Only the Hindi version of the film has earned ₹ 42 crores. The film also starred Srinidhi Shetty, Malavika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Anant Nag, and Vasishta Simha in key roles.
‘KGF’ has done unthinkable, as it outgrossed the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ at the Karnataka box office with the collection of ₹134 crores.
The reports stated that the movie will also observe a rare re-release at the US box office as at the time of release the movie did fairly well but couldn’t reach a lot of audience due to plenty of releases. As with a less number of releases, the distributors have requested a re-release.
