After giving a terrific performance in super-hit film Kabir Singh, Kiara Advani is all set to start shooting for her upcoming film Indoo Ki Jawani. The film is a quirky family entertainer, directed by Abir Sengupta and starring Kiara and Aditya Seal in lead roles.
Kiara has expressed her excitement on playing this part and has said that she was for long looking forward to this character. She said, “I am super excited to begin shooting for Indoo, I’ve been prepping for the character ever since I signed the film and it’s finally time to live her! Indoo is a part of every young Indian girl she’s endearing, lovable and quirky. Looking forward to work with the teams at Emmay, T-Series and Electric Apples as we all strive to put our best foot forward to deliver a cracking entertainer.”
In the film we will get to see Kiara in a bold, quirky avatar. She has learnt lots of aspects like local accent, pronunciation, some forms of action stunts etc. According to a source, “Considering that her character is from Ghaziabad, where people speak in a certain manner, worked extensively on her diction and pronunciation. She also did look tests to get the appearance right as well as the mannerisms and body language associated with girls from the city.”
Kiara earlier posted some action stunt videos where she can be seen practicing for intense action sequence.
According to Mumbai mirror, the team will be shooting in Lucknow for another three weeks and will have a short Diwali break during this. Kiara has said that in addition to her shooting schedule, she will be exploring local markets and would love to shop something.
She said, “Since I’m coming back to Mumbai, I’ve bought some chikankari kurtas for my parents and some meetha, too,” she said, adding that she has been religiously following her exercise and diet regimen so she can “cheat and eat all the yummy desserts on Diwali”.
Indoo Ki Jawani, directed by Abir Sengupta, is expected to release worldwide on June 5th, 2020. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series) Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment) Niranjan Iyengar, Ryan Stephens (Electric Apples Entertainment).
