Kizie aur Manny; Hindi remake of “The Faults In Our Stars” begins shooting

The Faults In Our Stars made us smile, laugh and cry all of it at the same time and most importantly, It touched our hearts. We were all excited when it was announced that there will be a Hindi remake of this film. The wait is finally over as the makers share with us the details about the film. The title was the film is decided to be “Kizzie aur Manny”

The movie will be directed by debutant director, Mukesh Chhabra and music director A R Rahman will be composing the soundtrack for the film. Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi are roped in to play the role of Kizzie and Manny. The shoot has begun in Jamshedpur. Rucha Pathak, Chief Creative Officer, Foxstar India says, “Finally the stars have come together for our Indian adaptation of Fault in our Stars! We’re especially happy that the script that we’ve been developing over the last few years is seeing the start of shoot and the title itself has come so organically from the Indian characters in the film. ”

Rucha further adds, “Kizie & Manny are characters from the imagination of Suprotim Sengupta, who wrote the screenplay and Shashank Khaitan, who gave them wonderful voices through his dialogues. And finally, Mukesh Chhabra is going to bring Kizie and Manny to life. We’re looking forward to a great shoot!”

Director Mukesh Chhabra said “We are making the film as a beautiful love story which plays out between the two main characters. I have tried to keep it as simple as possible which is why we decided on this title that has a ring of a rhyme, like Bunty aur Babli.”

John Green, author of the novel “The faults in our stars” shared his excitement about the remake on twitter saying “I want to see this movie more than I have ever wanted to see a movie”
