An Indian actor Kunal Kapoor says that he has a lot of respect for the actor, Akshay Kumar, as he takes his work very seriously. Both the actors are currently gearing up for their upcoming Indian sports movie titled ‘Gold’. The movie is directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment. The movie is said to be based on India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 in London. The movie will be focusing on the life of the hockey player Balbir Singh as he was on the team when the team won the Olympic medal for the country India. It is all set to release on Independence Day next year.
About his co-star Akshay Kumar, Kunal says that he is one of those whom he respects a lot and as an actor, Akshay has constantly reinvented himself in such way that no other actor has done so far. He has been considered as the country’s biggest action star to the king of comedy and now he is all set to try his luck in the socially relevant movie and he has done stories that very few actors would have the courage to do those movies. However, he is very supportive and it is great fun when he is around on the sets.
Kunal says that one thing which he likes about him is that he respects his work and he takes his work very seriously, but not himself or his stardom. Moreover, Kunal says that he will never let you feel like you are working with a superstar he is so normal on the sets. Recently, he has been declared as the brand ambassador of the fashion brand named Indian Terrain.
Kunal says that he is very happy that now the trend of making movies which are based on the true and inspiring stories have started in the Bollywood town. He says that now finally the time has come to celebrate the lives of the real-life heroes. We are having such an incredible history and there are so many fascinating stories which they can actually tell to the audience. As an actor, Kunal says that he is very happy that he got a chance to play a part of some of these stories which actually inspires people.
Earlier, Kunal Kapoor has featured in the movies like ‘Rand De Basanti’, ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’, ‘Kaun Kitney Paani Mein’, ‘Dear Zindagi’ and much more. His upcoming movie ‘Gold’ will focus not only 0n the golden victory in 1948 but will also be showing the 12 crucial years in India’s history.
The movie “Gold” is expected to hit the theatres on August 15 next year.
